The Mammoth Hunters

Out of the struggle to survive, a few brave souls will forever change the path of their future decendents.

Based on the gripping novel by Czech archeologist and author Eduard Štorch, comes a trying tail of adventure and sacrifice during the age of the Mammoths.  To be more precise the people are known as the Gravettien culture from the Upper Paleolithic period (20,000 - 30,000 years ago)  also known as the stone age.

The story takes place at the well known archeological dig site of Dolní Véstonice in the Moravian area of Czech Republic.  It centers around a young orphan named Kopčem who is a shrewed and brave lad.  His victorous battle with a fierce cave bear makes him a legend and he quickly becomes one of the influential members of his clan despite his young age.  The film takes several turns and at one point the clan looks destined to be eradicated.
Look for Kopčem to again save the day by using his ingenuity and wit.

This project is currently in development and is slated to begin shooting in December 2009.  The current budget is around 16 million dollars.
